My unemployment office is Carmel, NY. When you call, they say they are working from home and the office is closed, but they do not provide an email nor a telephone number. Today, April 3rd, I received a letter of approval telling me to claim my first week between March 15th and March 21st… as you can see the letter cam very late. I called to claim and only have the option to claim for last week. After claiming for last week, I called back to the auto robot menu to check my claims status. The week they asked me to claim (from the late letter) was said to be a waiting week. I thought this was waived? When I tried to call the questions center I kept getting an automated message that lines are busy and to call back. I have been trying to get through for over two hours now, there’s no waiting so I’m literally just sitting on my phone, frustrated hitting redial and getting constantly hung up on. I really need the money from the first week, I can not afford to miss it. Someone please email me to help me, I am hanging onto strings here.
I am an employer and cannot log in to provide my former employees information. The Number on the notice advises me to call back another time as they are busy. Is there a number I can call, or should I come in to the Lexington office?
